What is confirmed in the WARDOGS weapons database?

The official sources confirm that weapons are part of a custom loadout purchased for each life. Players choose from weapons, gear, utility, and vehicles while cash persists between ordinary matches. The public pages do not publish a final weapon roster, damage table, recoil chart, ammunition catalogue, or unlock schedule.

This page therefore separates confirmed system facts from Alpha 1 candidate records. A weapon name observed by a community catalogue may help organize future research, but it is not automatically an Early Access launch item. Model, price, damage, range, rate of fire, and availability remain unpublished unless a current official source verifies them.

Which weapon examples are official?

Team17’s public game description uses rocket launchers as an example of destroying apartment blocks. That confirms a rocket-launcher category in the promotional gameplay description, not a final named launcher or its statistics. The same page places weapons inside a wider combined-arms sandbox with vehicles, construction, and destruction.

Official Steam FAQ material says roles are player-defined and players can purchase the items they want. It does not say that a faction owns an exclusive rifle or that a fixed class controls a specific weapon category. The safest database field is therefore “official example” until a full item list appears.

What weapon names were observed in Alpha 1?

The competitor catalogue records candidate names including A-91, AK74, AMP-9, AMR 50, BMR-308, Bushmaster M17S, Compound Bow, FAL, Galil, KH-2002, MP43, PKM, M249 SAW, RPG7, and MGL40. The catalogue labels these as Alpha 1 observations and reports a 33-record snapshot, not a final release roster.

These names should be displayed with an Alpha 1 or pre-release label if they are used at all. Some prices, unlock fields, and balance values were not captured, and the roster can change before or during Early Access. Do not present the list as a confirmed launch tier list or faction inventory.

How do weapons connect to loadouts?

Weapon choice is one part of a per-life spending decision. Cash also funds gear, utility, and vehicles, so a rifle or launcher competes with support tools and mobility for the same purchase budget. A squad may choose direct firepower, medical support, transport, reconnaissance, construction, or another role based on the current objective.

The public sources do not publish a universal “best” weapon or a complete cost comparison. A database can safely add fields for role, source, version, and observed availability, but exact recommendations need reproducible testing. Any price, recoil, damage, ammunition, or attachment value needs a documented source.

Are weapons faction-exclusive?

No reliable source confirms that Lonestar, Valkyra, or Manticore owns an exclusive weapon pool. Official material separates faction identity from player-defined roles and purchased equipment. A weapon visible beside a faction-coloured uniform is not proof of a lock or a bonus.

This matters for both search accuracy and balance claims. The database should list a weapon as shared unless an official rule states otherwise. If Early Access introduces faction restrictions, record the exact item, build, platform, and source instead of inferring from screenshots.

How should new players choose a weapon?

Start with the task the squad needs to solve. Direct pressure may call for a primary weapon, a destructive route may make a launcher relevant, and a support life may spend more on medical, transport, or utility items. The official evidence supports flexible role selection rather than a mandatory class opening.

Keep enough cash for another life and avoid treating an Alpha observation as a permanent recommendation. Test the current weapon handling, ammunition, and availability in the build being played. Record the result with a date before turning it into a database note.

What fields are still missing?

The final weapon list, categories, prices, ammunition, damage, range, recoil, rate of fire, weight, attachments, unlocks, faction restrictions, and version differences are not listed in the collected sources. The Alpha 1 candidate count and names may also change. Official screenshots prove visual context but not numerical performance.

The direct answer is that WARDOGS weapons are purchased per life as part of flexible loadouts. A rocket launcher is an official example, while community Alpha 1 names are candidates only. Wait for a verified roster before publishing a definitive weapon tier list.
