What has Season 2 officially announced?

The official Season 02 teaser gives October 15, 2026 as the start date. It does not publish a final Cash, XP, equipment, unlock, or cosmetic wipe table. The same announcement feed describes Update 0.1.2 as a stability, server-flow, and exploit-fix patch; those changes do not by themselves define Season 2 retention. See the dedicated Season 2 preparation guide for the launch checklist.

Until a dated Season 2 announcement names each field, keep the wipe scope unconfirmed. A season date is evidence that a reset decision may be near, not evidence that every account value will be deleted.

Will WARDOGS wipe progress after the Beta?

The official sources do not confirm a complete Beta-to-Early Access carryover policy. They explain that Cash persists from match to match and that XP progression and a longer-term metagame are planned, but they do not promise that test cash, XP, equipment, or unlocks will transfer into the Early Access product. Treat every carryover field as until a dated announcement says otherwise.

This distinction matters because “persistent” describes the published in-match economy, not necessarily a test account’s lifetime. A Closed Beta can use temporary data while still demonstrating cross-match Cash. Do not treat a balance shown in a test screenshot as a launch advantage.

What does persistent Cash mean?

Team17 says every player starts with a published $10,000 and that Cash persists from match to match. Each life uses that balance to buy weapons, equipment, utility, and vehicles, while team actions such as revives, transport, and objective control can reward more. The statement establishes continuity within the game’s economy, not the result of a future wipe.

Cash, XP, and Control Zone score are separate systems. Score decides the match, Cash funds the next life, and XP belongs to role-based progression. A reset in one layer would not automatically prove a reset in the others; the developer must specify the scope.

What did the Beta recap say?

The official Beta Recap & Next Steps announced that the Closed Beta weekend was over and pointed players toward a later announcement. It did not publish a table for Cash, XP, equipment, or account carryover. The end of the test therefore confirms the end of that service window, not a particular wipe result.

If a future announcement states that test data will be reset, record the date, affected systems, and whether the reset applies to all participants. If it says nothing, keep the page marked not listed in the collected sources. A community post cannot replace an official policy statement.

Are seasonal resets planned?

The Early Access planning material describes a deeper seasonal metagame and discusses Cash, XP, Gold Bars, Player Skills, challenges, a Black Market, and a Vault. Those systems are planned for development during Early Access, and the public record does not provide a final seasonal calendar or retention table. A planned seasonal structure is not proof that every season will reset the same fields.

Gold Bars and cosmetics are discussed as longer-term account value in planning material, while Cash is used for per-life loadouts. Keep those layers separate when explaining a possible reset. Conversion rates, season lengths, permanent unlocks, and reward catalogues are not listed in the collected sources.

Could equipment or unlocks be wiped separately?

Yes, that possibility cannot be ruled in or out from the collected public sources. The Steam Early Access page warns that the product is incomplete and may change, while the roadmap describes systems that will be built over time. Neither source promises that test equipment, XP-unlocked items, or account cosmetics will carry over.

Do not infer a wipe from a missing item in a test menu, either. A feature may be disabled, staged, or tied to a different entitlement. The correct page structure is a table of systems with a source and status, not one blanket “everything resets” claim.

How should players prepare for uncertainty?

Play the Beta or Playtest as practice for the economy and objective loop, not as a guaranteed head start. Learn Control Zone rotations, cash-making team actions, loadout discipline, and communication. Avoid spending real money or grinding solely because a community guide promises permanent progress.

Save screenshots of official announcements and note the build date of your own data. When Early Access opens, compare the account state with the current Steam and Team17 wording. Do not submit account credentials to anyone offering a carryover or wipe bypass.

What counts as reliable wipe evidence?

The strongest evidence is a dated statement from BULKHEAD, Team17, the official Steam announcement feed, or the game’s official support channel. A patch note may also identify a reset for a specific system if it names the build and scope. Community screenshots and forum replies are useful leads but must remain attributed.

Keep separate fields for Cash, XP, items, unlocks, Gold Bars, cosmetics, and Player Skills. A statement about one field cannot be generalized to the others. If an official post uses broad wording, quote only the supported scope and mark the rest not listed in the collected sources.

What remains unconfirmed?

The Beta-to-Early Access reset, seasonal Cash/XP behavior, equipment and unlock carryover, Gold Bar conversion, Player Skills permanence, cosmetic retention, and exact wipe dates are not listed in the collected sources. Official sources confirm only the match-to-match Cash model and that larger progression systems are being developed. Refresh the page whenever a new official announcement changes the policy.

The direct answer is that no final WARDOGS progress-wipe policy has been published. Enjoy tests as temporary practice, rely on official announcements for carryover, and never promise a permanent advantage from Beta participation without a direct source.
