WARDOGS Beta Dates and Playtest Status

Is the WARDOGS beta still available?

The collected official announcement describes a Closed Beta scheduled for August 21–23, 2026. That window is an ended test period, not a permanent access state. A player should not assume that an old beta key, stream, or announcement still grants entry after the dates have passed.

The same announcement distinguishes the Closed Beta from the native Steam Playtest signup process. A small number of players could be admitted randomly through Steam, while preordering was described as the route for guaranteed Closed Beta access. Those routes applied to that test window and do not confirm a new beta date.

How did Closed Beta access work?

The official Steam announcement said preorders granted guaranteed access to the Closed Beta. It also explained that external key distribution was capped after the Closed Alpha, so the original signup process could no longer provide keys in the same way. Players in the Steam Playtest pool could still be selected randomly, but signup was never described as a guaranteed invitation.

The announcement also said the team was using the test to understand server scaling and stability before Early Access. A later schedule notice reported that the first wave of guaranteed invitations had been sent and that players could preload “WARDOGS Playtest” if Steam showed access. These details describe the test operation, not a current entitlement.

What happened to the NDA?

The preorder announcement said the NDA for the Closed Alpha footage was lifted, allowing creators to publish banked footage. It separately warned that ETP Playtests would remain under NDA and told players to read Discord announcements carefully. This is why clips from one test should not automatically be treated as permission for every future test.

For any new playtest, follow the current rules in the invitation and official Discord notice. A community post or a creator video can show that a test existed, but it cannot override an NDA or establish access for an account that was not invited.

Are future WARDOGS beta dates confirmed?

No future beta schedule is confirmed in the materials reviewed here. The official community page remains a signup route for future playtesting and tells invited players to continue through an email link. It does not promise that every registrant receives an invitation or that another test will begin on a particular date.

Steam’s store page can show a Playtest request option when a test is open. Check that listing, the official Steam announcements, and the WARDOGS community signup page together. If the sources disagree, mark the status as “待确认” until BULKHEAD publishes a dated update.

Beta access checklist

Use the official Steam page to request a Playtest when the request option is present. If you receive an invitation, use the Steam entitlement or the email link specified by the official community dashboard rather than a third-party key seller. Do not pay someone for a beta key based only on a screenshot, because the collected sources provide no verification for unofficial offers.

The reliable historical facts are the August 21–23 Closed Beta window, the preorder guarantee for that window, and the separate random Steam Playtest route. Any new date, invitation wave, or access rule needs a new official source before it can be added to this page.
