WARDOGS Roles Guide: Medic & Support
Build WARDOGS roles through equipment, cash, XP tracks, revives, transport, logistics, and objective play instead of choosing a permanently locked class.
Does WARDOGS have fixed classes?
The collected sources do not describe WARDOGS as a game with one permanent locked class per character. Players build a role through the weapons, equipment, utility, vehicles, and specialist items they purchase for a life. That makes a role a combination of equipment and behavior, not necessarily a character-selection screen.
The distinction is important because players can adapt to the randomized Control Zone and the squad’s needs. A player may support a revive on one life, pilot transport on another, or take a direct combat loadout when the team needs pressure. Exact class restrictions and item requirements are “待确认.”
What role actions are confirmed?
The official Steam description names reviving squadmates, transporting friendlies to the zone, controlling the objective, and moving supplies as useful team actions that can reward cash. The same materials discuss spotting, helicopters, forward positions, and artillery as ways to contribute. These are documented actions, not a promise that each one is a separate selectable class.
The objective remains the center of every role. A medic who keeps players inside the scoring area, a pilot who moves reinforcements, and a support player who protects a route can all improve the team’s chance to reach 100 points. A role that creates activity away from the objective may still be useful, but its value should be explained through the team problem it solves.
What does a Medic role mean?
Medic is one of the confirmed names associated with the six XP progression tracks in the collected reference. The official economy examples also identify reviving squadmates as a cash-rewarding team action. That supports a medic-style role focused on keeping squad presence alive, but the exact medical item, revive speed, XP event, and unlock path are not fully published.
Stay close enough to the squad to respond to a downed teammate, communicate before committing to a revive, and consider whether the active Control Zone makes the recovery safe. A revive that returns a player to the objective can create both immediate value and cash. Do not quote a fixed payout or cooldown until the live game exposes it.
What does a Pilot or logistics role mean?
Pilot is also a confirmed XP track name in the collected progression material. Official examples describe helicopters transporting players or supplies, and the wider economy rewards transporting friendlies to the zone. This supports a transport and logistics role that connects staging areas, reinforcements, supplies, and the scoring objective.
The sources do not publish a complete flight model, vehicle roster, passenger limit, or transport payout. A pilot should therefore be described by the job—safe movement and resupply—not by an invented aircraft tier list. Exact vehicle access and XP thresholds are “待确认.”
How do combat and support roles differ?
Combat roles create pressure, remove threats, and contest the zone with weapons and vehicles. Support roles create the conditions that let combat and objective players stay effective through revives, transport, spotting, supplies, and fortifications. WARDOGS is designed so the economy rewards the second group as well as kills, which lets a squad divide responsibilities without forcing one fixed class.
Equipment and persistent cash connect the two. A player may spend on a weapon for overwatch, utility for a revive, a vehicle for transport, or a structure for defense. The best choice changes when the randomized zone moves or when the enemy attacks a different route.
How should a new squad assign roles?
Start with the current objective and identify the missing task: safe movement, revive coverage, direct pressure, observation, or a defensive position. Assign one player to communicate the route, then keep enough people near the zone to earn scoring presence. Use local voice and squad communication to avoid everyone buying the same expensive option.
Keep role labels flexible during Early Access. The six tracks, exact role names, item catalogue, and skill systems can change, and the sources do not publish a complete class menu. A useful squad plan is therefore a set of responsibilities that can be reconfigured each life.
